Education and school gardening

School gardening and maintenance

I am available for hire as a school gardener offering weekly, biweekly or monthly visits.  My services for school gardening include planting and upkeep of both flower and vegetable beds, maintenance of hedging and lawn care. Teaching and demonstrating how to care for plants and wildlife, installation of school ponds and artwork / mural installation.

Gardening Clubs

Gardening Clubs are aimed at primary schools, to offer an after school club of 1 hour teaching basic gardening techniques, the importance of nature, wildlife and the importance of an Eco-friendly garden and how to grow fruit and vegetables.

Planting Sessions

Planting sessions can take place in both residental and school settings, either one on one or in small groups or classes.  Planting sessions involve teaching the correct way to sow seeds, how to grow both edible and ornimental plants and planning out a plot to plan in.

Matt took over the garden and outdoor spaces in Sept 23. He has transformed the space into somewhere the children want to rest but also investigate. He has brightened the place with flowers but also created a fabulous growing space where the children can watch various fruit and veg grow. I recommend Matt without reservation.
